"The Artist Statement"

   This is supposed to shed some light into the artist's mind and provide the reader with some sort of map to navigate our right side roadway.  In this case, I'll just tell you what I enjoy and why.

   I enjoy growing older. The patience and wisdom is something to be shared, if only someone would listen. Oh well, it's their loss.

   I enjoy my wife. I love my wife. These paintings would not exist if not for her.

   I enjoy my children. They are both married and starting their own families.

   I enjoy being a Grandparent, but I really enjoyed seeing our children having children. Pay back is sweet.

   I enjoy painting water. It's wet. It's cleansing. It's transparent, solid, flowing, reflective and still.

   I enjoy painting the sky. It's big.

   I enjoy painting light. It defines anything and everything.

   And I have enjoyed talking to you. I am better for it; hope you are too.
